This is a group of mushrooms about the size of a dinner plate. This mushroom is a parasitic mushroom in kingdom fungi. According to mushroomexpert.com this is the most easily identified North American species of Armillaria. It grows on clusters and is “usually a dull, tawny brown“ like the image I captured. This forms when it rains heavily which it did before this mushroom was made.

This is a resurrection fern in from kingdom Plantae. Wikipedia states that This is the most widespread epiphytic fern in North America. It is found in the Midwest and southeastern United States, Mexico, and Guatemala. It grows on trees, sometimes on rock and mossy banks, as well as buildings. The color was a very vibrant green where each set of little oval leaves was about the size of a finger. I found this organism growing from a tree.
