Plant keys out to either L. bicolor var. leptocarpum or L. canbyi depending on presence of stem and tuber. Since I don't want to dig up one of these plants and because it seems to have a stem, I'm calling it L. bicolor var. leptocarpum but would like a second opinion.

Orange plants pushing up from waterlogged soil on the Northern Great Basin Experimental Range. It's possible that the orange structures are not petals but leaves that are yet to turn green. Possibly some sort of Lewisia sp.?
