Call me Robo. I specialise in globally IDing Falconiformes and Mustelinae. I also enjoy IDing other American birds, especially Accipitriformes, Cathartiformes, Strigiformes (for those 3, mainly familiar with species north of Mexico), Cariamiformes, and Zonotrichia sparrows. I am studying more every day and love to learn new taxa. My ultimate goal is to learn global raptor taxa (Accipitriformes, Cathartiformes, Strigiformes, Cariamiformes, and Falconiformes).

Currently, I make efforts to document the window collision deaths on my campus as thoroughly as I can.

I mainly use my Nikon D300 with a Nikkor AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 lens for telephoto shots and a Tamron 90mm prime 1:1 f/2.8 lens for macro shots. I supplement my DSLR with my phone camera if needed.

Feel free to @ or DM me about observations and identifications. I am happy to give my attention to observations within my ID experiences and to review previous IDs and annotations at any time. I can communicate in English and Japanese (intermediate level) and will use translation apps for other languages. For research queries about my observations, please DM me for email contact. My media is available to use non-commercially with credit and I would appreciate being notified of their use. Thank you.
