I'm a keen observer of all things in nature. My love for the outdoors probably began when my dad was transferred to a project outside the Kruger National Park. There was nothing there so the company built a tiny village which they enclosed because of the proximity (a quarter of a mile from the Numbi gate). Our playground was a forest and it wasn't unusual to be warned of lions or elephants escaping, although we did think it boring that we had to go indoors. I've hiked in so many parts of this beautiful country and seen so many incredible things but it was my passion for trees that drew me to iNaturalist.
