My research interests focus on the biodiversity, ecology, and conservation of freshwater ecosystems. I have been working on large-scale spatial patterns of aquatic plants, combining community and population approaches. I have conducted my graduate research mainly in central Mexico highlands, where temporary wetlands are part of the landscape and are geographically isolated. [https://lobatomagalhaes.weebly.com]
