Passing of an iNaturalist Legend - Greg Lasley
Mr. Greg Lasley, an iNaturalist legend, passed away this evening. he had a double lung transplant several months ago but lost his recovery battle. With nearly 40,000 observations to iNaturalist, including over 1100 to the Blanco County Project, he will be greatly missed by the naturalist community. Rest in Peace, Greg.

A phenomenal man. Such an impact he had on so many of us.
Wow, Sam, sad news to hear indeed and his death is a great loss to iNat and many who came to know him. I was privileged to have met Greg and known him on the virtual pages of the platform. He was a teacher first and always, a wonderful nature photographer of course, and a great human being generally. Our most sincere and deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Adios amigo. Greg Lasley, Presente! Que en paz descanse/Rest in peace.
I, too, am saddened to hear of Greg’s passing. I met him in person at least once. He was so knowledgable and kind as well. He will be miseed!
