Database for Rice Seed-borne Fungi

Rice cultivation begins with the planting of seeds, and many rice diseases can be transmitted through these seeds. As a result, routine microbial testing is conducted on rice seeds, with the majority of organisms identified being fungi.

This project aims to enhance routine fungal testing by encouraging individuals to record their observations of fungal colonies and morphologies on inaturalist, a platform for documenting and sharing biodiversity data. By creating complete discovery records of identified fungi, this project hopes to serve not only as a reference for identification but also to enable the exploration of spatiotemporal and species distribution correlations in the future. menos ↑
