"Sparky" was our friend for 9 years. Here he is talking to us on our back porch. You can hear him mimic "pretty bird." Recorded at a distance of ~30 inches
It seemed like a rather large one hovering above. Perhaps an eagle of some sort. It was hard to tell.
large skeleton (small deer, large coyote/dog size) just off the side of the road -- only putting mule deer here as it seems too big for any of the coyotes I've seen locally, and I've never seen a domestic dog wandering around this area off leash

I think this may be a leucistic red-tailed hawk or perhaps red-shouldered hawk
Transparent, about 3 inches long. Faceted body with pulsing multi colored lights on spine of facets. No discernible propulsion
