Spotted on bank of cattle pond and then scurried into the water. No fencing or containment.
Albino plethodon species, possibly Western Red-backed (Plethodon vehiculum) a common species in this area.

Not VA sighting was in North Carolina
Perhaps to most interesting redwood in this natural area. Age perhaps 10 years or less. This tree is just one of dozens of very young redwoods spread over a 4.5 acre area. The trees are spaced in a manner to suggest they were not planted by a person but instead seeded naturally from the two larger redwoods in the vicinity. I do not know if this is common in Wa state.
