One female of previously noted aggregation was completely filling in a nest entrance by hollowing out a wide chamber below the entry hole, then knocking down the walls of that chamber (pictured). Three others were seen starting new burrows in the aggregation. Took some short videos of this activity as well.

This individual seemed to have parasitized one of the A. bradleyi nests in this location and I watched it fill in the entrance. Several other Sphecodes individuals investigating the nesting aggregation as well.

Seems to be a small colony of these little bark lice in a lichen sample I'd collected (20210714.144500.c). They appear to have spun a protective layer of webbing or silk, and they crawl around eating the lichen underneath it. Can see 2 segments on each tarsus, antennae have 13 segments, and maxillary palps have 4 segments. No mature adults present, but compound microscope photos show late-stage instar with rudimentary wing stubs.
