A kind of gross looking blob on the inside of this rotten log. Almost doughnut-shaped, squishy. Less than an inch in diameter. Egg case, fungus/slime mold(?)

Growing on street tree nursery stock (Acer griseum) at wholesale nursery

First picture is of a young fruiting body and the last two are of an older one that was growing near it.

Anyone got any idea what these little white things are? They look like those tiny crafting foam beads.

These were common much of the way along the Rampart Ridge trail under Western Hemlocks and Douglas Firs.

Beautiful purple. Darker at the base, almost black. Did not turn to discs. On dead wood, unsure what kind.

Slime mold on a piece of coniferous wood (I think), found in a forest.

Random guess on ID to get the ball rolling, bright blue under black light, clear in white light

80% of the elfin saddles observed were infected

Strange plastic smell, under white fir on buried wood.

Hollow stem.

I've seen this grow on a big-leaf maple every year for the past 3 years. The last photo is of it in the tree before it was harvested
