Looks like Buzz is here to stay!

My Mom really wanted to visit this pond again to see if Buzz was still there. It had been a while. So, we went and among the Canada Geese and Mallards swam Buzz, such a handsome fella!

Buzz, much like the other waterfowl, was very vocal that day. His cheeping preceded him; a very distinct compared to the other birds.

Buzz likes to mingle with the other ducks. He was seen following a Mallard hen again. She quacked at him and he cheeped back. How cute!

His plumage is, as always, quite the eye-catcher. You can see him showing off his crest in the photo. He's very proud.

At this point, I think Buzz might as well stay. I mean, he's got good company, and he's already been here a solid 3 months. He can be the mascot of the pond!

Darwin's finches (also known as the Galápagos Finches or as Geospizinae) are a group of 15 species of Passerine birds, now placed in the tanager family rather than the true finch family. They were first collected by Charles Darwin on the Galápagos Islands during the second voyage of the Beagle. Thirteen are found on the Galápagos Islands and one on Cocos Island. The term Darwin's Finches was first applied by Percy Lowe in 1936, and popularised in 1947 by David Lack in his book Darwin's Finches.[1][2]
The birds are all about the same size (10–20 cm). The most important differences between species are in the size and shape of their beaks, and the beaks are highly adapted to different food sources. The birds are all dull-colored.
