Squamosa barymorpha caterpillar on first day after hatching from egg, 19/01/22.
Probably still the first instar on a native fern leaf.

This caterpillar was hatched from egg & transferred to a fern leaf. First instar on Day 9!

It is now...
Day 10 - We are following the progress of eggs laid by female, Squamosa barymorpha.
She laid her eggs on 10/01/22.

This morning, 13.01.22, she was removed from the plastic container where she laid her eggs & saved as a voucher.

Following the progress of the female moth, Squamosa barymorpha.
She continued to lay more eggs last night, not in one clump but in several places all around the smooth plastic container, but mainly on the sides of the container. She did not lay any eggs on the leaves.

Crystal Creek Walnut a "rare tree" states the Tweed Shire Council sign at Site No. 2.
Several of these trees are growing in the wild along the roadside at Urliup, NSW and have been identified and recorded by the local Council.
This older and larger specimen is growing along the road frontage to our property. Many of these trees grow in this area.
Photo number 3 is taken of the younger and fresher leaves of the Crystal Creek Walnut at Site Number 107.

Descripción

Wild dog (Dingo) seen on property today. It was sleeping in shade of trees when we first saw it's ears in the grass. We observed it through binoculars. It was not a fox, it was a healthy looking Dingo or Wild Dog. When we disturbed it, it ran away but I managed to take a couple of photos. Dingos (Wild Dogs) have been reported to Tweed Shire Council Ranger as seen in the area.
