Caught in the wild as nymphs, raised into adults before they died of old age. This observation will be labeled as the nymph stage because that's what they were when caught.

You can see a teneral adult right after molting and when it just started to harden, plus photos taken after hardening completely. You can also see a photo with one of the nymphs and the partially hardened adult to get a sense of scale.

In total there were three nymphs caught. They were living underneath a rock that was placed in the yard. One of the nymphs molted into an adult only a few days after being caught whereas the other two took another month or so.

To my knowledge, this is one of the first iNaturalist observations of this species in its nymph stage and one of the few images of it online period, despite this species being bred and kept in captivity with roach hobbyists.
