I found this specimen growing on a down conifer tree at around 400ft elevation. This shelflike mushroom is 3cm wide and 1cm deep with elongated purple pores or teeth.

Numerous, scatterred, mostly singular fruiting bodies on upper surface of downed, but not well rotted Douglas fir with bark and moss. All were small - 1/2 - 2 cm diameter. Warm orange-brown above, white below - smooth surface. White mycelium, well attached into bark or wood. Hollow interior, with white flesh, undeveloped or poorly developed spore bearing surface. Mild, mushroom odor.
