This frog was found in the Double pond on Pepperwood preserve. I saw at least 50, and they were all brown with tan highlights, and transparent legs.

This Garter snake was found at the Double Ponds on Pepperwood Preserve. It was extremely calm, and hardly flicked it's tongue at us.

This tree was found in a serpentine chaparral. It has thin, needle-like leaves that resemble pine trees. Most of the tree is covered in a lichen. About 20 of the same tree were found in the same area.
The leaves on this bush was the shape of a raindrop. The size of the leaves is about 1 1/2 inches long. The bark of this bush is a type if red. The leaves are not bending They are going straight up, if they are pointing to the sky.
Found growing horizontally on a dead oak tree log. Growing in a large group, longest piece of fungus (horizontally) was about 7 inches meanwhile the smallest was less than an inch. Had brown rings, common pattern, its underside was a solid beige color, found in shady area.
Pale yellow/green in color. Thin and rough texture. On tree in relatively dry grassland/ serpentine chaparral.
Manzanita bush found in sunny area, soft leaves, some of the leaves had red "inflammations". The height of the overall bush was about 7 feet high and 8 feet in diameter.
Found beneath log, buried slightly under dirt. Approximately 2.5 cm long. Did not move when poked and allowed itself to be dug up slightly. Dark colors, brown to black. No others spotted nearby.
