ID help appreciated! evidence of feeding. by the Huron River, in a swampy area.

@ceiseman not sure if this was a leafminer or not, as it certainly visually resembled one but didn’t appear on the back side of the leaf. The host plant was Gaultheria shallon, or salal.

Insect tunneling through the leaf (capsicum annuum) but the mines aren't as deep as a typical leaf miner.
