Didn't see the squirrel climb on top of this golden barrel cactus as he was already perched on top when I saw him. Watched for five minutes as he gorged himself on the fruit, methodically picking each fruit from the top of the cactus, quickly tearing each piece open to sample it. He tossed aside one after tasting it and quickly ate those that passed muster - four other fruits while I was there.

His body condition appeared very fleshy.
