Atlantic mackerel
Was caught on a piece of shrimp on the bottom surprisingly usually mackerel will stay in the middle of the water column
Fish was kept
We saw a few of these out of the water at a minus tide. All were open like this one and lying on the surface (first picture is in situ). They seemed to be alive.
Caught in bongo nets during a plankton tow — salps, ctenophores, larvae…?
Deep (approx 50 metres). Not sure so I'll say poacher to start

This small (~16mm?) thing was swimming like mad at night in a tidal current near a sandy/gravelly/kelpy bottom. It seemed possibly attracted to my light bucket
