Araignée myrmecomorphe.
The little light purple flowers caught my eye while I was walking to the Arboretum. There was a little patch of them in the grass, some fully bloomed and some just blooming. On the white pedals there are tiny little purple specks.
The leaves had a waxy texture, a slightly rough edge, and a reddish tint. The plant was about 7 inches tall, with the leaves only being an inch and a half to two inches long. It was growing under some woody bushes. The plant was growing in a sunnier area compared to the rest of the woods, and had drier soil.
This insect was seen in the arboretum. I only saw it once when I was there. It looked almost like a spider when looking at its legs. It’s characteristics are similar to the Eastern Subterranean Termite
Small red berries, very vibrant in a light exposed area. Harvested many small bugs towards the bottom of the stems. Low laying towards the ground, berries grow on long vines with small green leaves. Surrounded by many weeds in a insect populated green area. The berries were round and smooth and clearly are a resource for certain animals because there are many insects all around. These berries grew on long stems and were in a very intense, sunny area surrounded by thick, green shrubbery.
Really cotton and fury flower about .7 inch in length for the flower and about 2 feet tall found near other grass plants in a sunny envirment
Red orb appearing berries. 2ft from ground.
Appear as fluffy purple flowers, 5 inches from the ground.
This plant was very dense in the arboretum and was seen almost everywhere. The plant has green leaves and small red berries on the branch.
Seems to still be developing and the leaves seems to be starting to change colors
Unlike the one that was in the picture, mine was black and really little.

These caught my eye a bunch because of the vivid red stems and big white bulbs. Looked almost ready to bloom into a flower
About the size of a dime. Did not move at all during my observation.
Cool looking plant within the Geneseo Arboretum. Leaves mirror each other across the stem and clusters of berries/seeds where the leaves connect.
Three leaf poison ivy in Geneseo arboretum. Found on the edge of one of the main walking trails.
Found in the arboretum. The berries and stem really caught my eye. The stem was a bright red color while the berries were a blue color. Berries were really small looked like they could grow more.
These gnats are about half a centimeter long. They are in a large group which means they must be interacting. These gnats were in an area that uses no pesticides and has lots of grass. The species name for them is Infraorder Bibionomorpha.
Resembles flying ant. Has wings, 6 legs, blue green in color. Found alone crawling on roots by stream.
