This Spermophora appears to have caught a young Spelaeiacris tabulae.
Approx 12mm long, deeply notched coxa 4, 70+ segments on Ant 1, 25 on Ant 2. This was the largest paramelita of 8 in a 40cm diameter pool. I later found more up stream and down stream of the pool. Upstream, the paramelita were in little cups of water as the stream flowed down a 1.5 sloping drop.
I saw about 20 of these in the 4 hours I was in the cave.
Small (8mm long body). I saw very few Spelaeiacris on this trip. There were two small crickets in the boulder choke, and 3 adults in the main passage of the cave.
A large, uncooperative false violin spider. It had a large beetle in its web.
This was in dry, dark section of the transition zone of the cave.
This spider was in its web behind a rock, until I disturbed it.
I saw 4 of these spiders in the cave. This one was walking on the cave wall approx. 2.5m from the floor. No web in sight.
