MTO Pit - Agawa Bay #3 - seasonally wet area along access two track and adjacent
Only found one fertile culm after 20 minutes of searching through foliage at known site. Did not bother it for measurements but clearly very tiny
?!?!
kind of keys here... short spikelets, mostly glabrous sheaths, internodes, axis of panicle, ligule hairs long
if correct, this would be away from the current known distribution as indicated by Michigan Flora. However, same goes for Eleocharis quinqueflora which @nathan20 found at this site
Can confirm with specimen later
Edit:
Seems right:
Upper sheaths and internodes glabrous, spikelets hairy, less than 2 mm, ligule >1mm, panicle >1/2 as wide as long
specimen 0103, MICH
Two plants seen climbing over some grasses, semi open floodplain
Small open sand patch next to red pines in remnant oak barrens. Consistent with an earlier record from this site.
