Growing in soil just off the Saratoga Gap Trail under Pseudotsuga menziesii, Arbutus menziesii, and Notholithocarpus densiflorus
Pileus tan, smooth, slightly concave. Margin wavy, slightly in rolled especially when young. Lamellae close, decurrent to sub-decurrent, white when young becoming tan-ish in age. Stipe short, equal, whitish and fibrous. Notice mass of borderline rhizomorphic mycelium firmly adhered to substrate
