Identificaciones de mbowser

This is growing wild beside the North end of the Bird to Gird bike trail.

Much larger than our dandelions.

Plant is 2-3' tall. Seed puff is approx 3" diameter.

I saved some seeds.

No leaves at base which is reddish.

Leaves wrap around stem like a grass leaf does and are alternate.

I dont know what it is. Have never seen it before and suspect it is not a native species.
