I am a caver based in Melbourne. Our group was exploring a cave in New Guinea area (about 45 drive from Buchan, Victoria) when we found out this harvestmen. I have never heard that there are any cave dwelling arachnid in Victoria. That does let me wonder if I have found something new.
In the cave, we had found two of them, and both of them are no bigger than 2 cm large.
After contacting Australia Museum, it is almost certainly belongs to the Family Triaenonychidae. But other than that, not much more is known.
