Large shelf fungi on north side of dead poplar/aspen tree. Distinctive “mushroom” smell, earthy and pungent.
Found piggy-backing on another species on fungi (Russula of some sort possibly with a very fetid, rotting meat odour), underneath jack pine in needle litter.

Underside turns brownish yellow when scratched.
What's it called? Oh I don't know, but something around gaanderma. Derma wouldn't be a bad name for it. Oh, God, look at that.
