The fruits are fleshy, green berries and containing from one to four shiny, brown seeds. Medicinally also the tree is very valuable. The bark is used to cure leprosy and to heal wounds, the flowers are prepared to relieve coughs and heart-trouble while the fruit is given in cases of blood diseases.
It is resident in the Indian Peninsular Region. It has greenish wings and tail. Male has a smaller throat patch as seen in the adjacent picture. They feed on insects, fruits and nectar. Here the bird is feeding on the Palash Flowers.
Females have turquoise throat. The juvenile look similar to females and has a turquoise throat but is brighter near the mustachio region.

Danaus chrysippus, also known as the Plain Tiger or African Monarch, is a medium-sized, butterfly widespread in Asia and Africa. It belongs to the Danainae ("Milkweed butterflies") subfamily of the brush-footed butterfly family, Nymphalidae. Its coloration is mimicked by multiple species.

Widespread heron species in central India. They are most active at night as the name suggest but sometimes seen during the day.
