This morning, I was on my front porch and heard one of my neighbor's hens across the street cackling in panic. She then came into view running to the edge of their driveway where she took flight. She flew across the street and down the 40 feet of my driveway before hitting the ground and running into the woods. Right behind her was a young Bobcat galloping down the driveway, but stopping when it saw me. It spent the next 20 minutes wandering around my driveway and my neighbor's. I went across the street and none of the 12 free-ranging chickens could be found anywhere. They hid for most of the rest of the day. These poor photos were the best I could do with my cell phone. The red circle in photo #3 is a reflector to mark the edge of the driveway.
