Common name: singleleaf pinyon
Up to 30 feet tall. Often shrub-like. Needles up to 1.5 inches, grayish-green, sharp. Cones up to 2.5 inches, round shaped.
Seen at over 10,000 ft elevation. Unsure if inat's ID is correct. Discovery day two

In sagebrush country
Very short tail that doesn't fit any Microtus sp., nor Clethrionomys gapperi.
The only other vole looking similar is Phenacomys intermedius but the range and habitat is wrong for it.
Am I overlooking something? Any suggestions are welcome.
