It's been nearly two years since the last journal post; have not been able to keep doing so for similar reasons, and due to personal commitments and work-related issues, I've not been able to get my new computer up yet. I did manage to settle my computer issues so I can log in here without crashing, and now that there's a lull in my work, I'm back, though I really don't know when I'll be swamped again.

Apologies to those of you who might have tagged or messaged me here, will get back to you in due course!

Looking forward to sharing some of my new observations, including those from Malaysia which I've been visiting a lot in the past year.

Without realizing it, I have not logged into this site for two years! There are two main reasons for the long absence - firstly, my computer (a very old one) has suffered performance issues and tended to crash every time I try to load iNaturalist pages. Secondly, I was swamped by both personal and work-related issues throughout the last two years (the COVID-19 pandemic did not give me any forced rest but forced me to work harder) and have been too exhausted to do much else.

Now things are finally looking up somewhat. I'm also planning to set up a new (new as in newly purchased, though second hand) computer which I have just acquired, but in the meantime I managed to sort out some of my existing computer issues so I will still be able to log in. I hope to get back to sharing my observations and contributing to IDs here, although I cannot be sure that I'll be logging in too regularly at least in the near future.
