Join us for Blitz the Bay!

You’re invited to participate in Blitz the Bay, Heal the Bay’s first-ever BioBlitz events! We would love to have some of YOU, the amazing naturalists of LA, bring your passion and expertise to our events.

Blitz the Bay will seek to catalogue observations of local plants, animals, and fungi in two of the most valuable areas of our Los Angeles coast: Malibu Lagoon State Beach and Ballona Wetlands. You can find more information about Blitz the Bay including how to register on Heal the Bay’s blog .

If you cannot make the events, we will need TONS of great “virtual experts” to identify our discoveries after the event. Keep an eye on the project pages to help us catalogue the diversity of these amazing areas. We also have a brand new Healthy Watershed – Los Angeles County project where you can add all your observations of flora and fauna from our watersheds (hint: we all live in a watershed, so everywhere counts!)
