Found ~ 4,000 ft on Mt Hood growing on well-rotted wood where both spruce and a variety of pines were present. Pore surface is white and doesn't bruise dark. Pores are large-ish. Irregular (not fan shaped) fruit body, and is more upright than shelved, similar to hydnellum habit.

Takes viscosity to a whole new level. Growing out of a cut bank in mixed (relatively young) conifer with a lot of hemlock.
