Nature continually has me dazzled and curious to get to know her better. I have studied why aspen leaves quake, zoomed through forests on a scooter while being pulled by dogs, foraged and eaten any number of delicious (and not delicious) things, and guided hundreds of humans in experiencing Pacific tidepools, old growth forests, and plenty of wild and feral places in between. My fascination tends to be place-based - currently in the Willamette Valley with excursions to the central Oregon Coast, the west and north flanks of Mt. Hood, and both sides of the Columbia Gorge.
