I'm a retired marine scientist living on the Olympic Peninsula. I have an MS from Moss Landing Marine Labs, with focus on rocky subtidal ecology and fishes. I spent most of my career in Alaska. For the last 10 years I ran the state's program looking at contaminants in fish. I am currently volunteering at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center, focusing on sea star wasting and a wide variety of other activities.
