I am currently employed by the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks as the Park Biologist at Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park - this large and diverse protected area spans some 38,000 hectares of South-Central Ontario and truly is "the land between". Previously, I have worked as a Biologist in the Species at Risk Branch of MECP and in Science and Research Branch on the Far North Biodiversity Project in MNRF. I started my career in the provincial government as a Student Park Ranger in Ontario Parks and then in several fisheries science jobs conducting remote field work between Algonquin Park and Thunder Bay, ON. I enjoy combining outdoor recreation and fitness with life science inventory-ing. I am passionate about record keeping, ecological integrity and biodiversity conservation.
