I work for the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks as the Park Biologist at Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park - this large and diverse protected area spans some 38,000 hectares of South-Central Ontario. Previously, I have worked as a Biologist in the Species at Risk Branch of MECP and in Science and Research Branch on the Far North Biodiversity Project in MNRF. I started my career in the provincial government as a Student Park Ranger in Ontario Parks and then in several fisheries science jobs conducting remote field work between Algonquin Park and Thunder Bay, ON. I enjoy combining outdoor recreation and fitness with life science inventory-ing. I am passionate about record keeping and biodiversity conservation. I have come to understand that the more I explore nature, the less I know.
