I am a lay naturalist, no formal training, just a girl who grew up in the woods of Northern Michigan and spent more time with the outdoors than she did with shopping malls. I am a homeschooling mom of four and I also lead a Young Naturalist’s Club for kids that shows children how to notice and journal what they see. I live in the East Bay, across from San Francisco, in Northern California. I spent a decade living in Connecticut when I was a newlywed with tiny kids. My special interest is Botany but I am trying to branch out and learn more birds and insects too.
