Conifer guy. See www.conifers.org for full story (it's my website, and the home page has a link to my CV). Also wildlife biologist, conservation biologist, various other -ologists, mostly working on protected species in Washington, Oregon, and California. Lots of work doing habitat conservation planning, and miscellaneous focal interests (e.g. desert pupfish, forestry-fisheries interactions, Oregon spotted frogs, western Washington prairies, big or old trees). My travels are mostly oriented around visiting, studying and photographing conifers (and other gymnosperms) in habitat, and nearly all my identification work is focused on conifers.
