I am a semi-retired professional botanist and ecologist, with 38+ years conducting vegetation studies (rare plants, vegetation community classification, releve work, wetland delineation, prairie ID, etc.), mainly in the Upper Midwest and Pacific Northwest. I have been a MN Master Naturalist (Big Woods, Big Rivers) since 2015. I am happy to help with plant IDs, and know a fair amount of fungal and lichen ID, and a bit about insect and herp ID as well. My approach to the natural world is "reverentia enim natura" - "reverence for nature."
