I'm a backyard birder. I've always watched birds, listened to their calls, watched them flutter around in the yard. I've started putting feeders for them. I've started to convert the yard to a more bird and insect friendly yard with native shrubs, trees, forbs and flowering plants. Eventually, there'll be a Monarch stopover since so many of them transit through the neighbourhood.
