Retired Army Medical Service Corps Officer.
I received a BS in General Biology from Seattle University in 1992. But my profession for the most part had little to do with biology, or science for that matter, so I am trying to get myself back into it. I volunteer quite a bit with Friends of Gold Butte in Mesquite, NV. I lead hikes at Gold Butte National Monument and introduce people to our little corner of the world (all our hikes/tours are free to the public). I try to educate people on the ecology of our area and the importance of conservation. My wife and I also volunteer with the Nevada Department of Wildlife's herpetology programs. I've also participated in several bio-blitzes at Valley of Fire State Park, Basin and Range National Monument, and Great Basin National Park.
I made my own scale bar that is set to 1 cm per band.
