Born and raised in NC, fascinated by all life but (as of right now) most interested in SE flora. Currently I work at Pike Nurseries, and when I am not watering plants or lifting 30 gallon trees, I'm photographing or documenting the various native and introduced species found at the nursery. While not formally educated in any field, I take a huge interest in naturalism and all the fields of study it encompasses. Currently, I'm most interested in botany (carnivorous and parasitic plants especially), but I'm also greatly fascinated by herps, insects, arachnids (jumping spiders are a favorite), fungi, bats, and birds. Oh, and I've been a "dinosaur kid" since I could talk.
I live and operate out of Charlotte, North Carolina, and I'm always looking for new places to explore in and around city limits (and I can usually afford day trips to areas around 1 1/2 - 2 hours away). If you have any recommendations, please reach out and suggest!
When not immersed in the natural world, I also find myself enjoying blues rock, floral Hawaiian shirts, cuisine of all kinds, and caring for pets (Felis catus, Eryx colubrinus, Dendrobates tinctorius, Lepidodactylus lugubris). Bioactive reptile/amphibian keeping is a side interest I share with my younger brother.
I always appreciate meeting new people via iNaturalist, and if you have an interest in any particular field, take a look through my observations and add to them as seen fit. I misidentify stuff all the time so a little help here and there is always needed.
