Most of what I know is just from growing up in Minnesota and being interested in things.

In the summer, I do bumble bee surveys for the Minnesota Bumble Bee Atlas, and volunteer with the Minnesota Biological Survey helping with Rare Plant surveys. I am also the volunteer site steward for the Savage Fen Scientific and Natural Area.

In recent years, I have found and photographed all of Minnesota's existing native orchid species!

Please correct me if you think I've made a wrong ID! How else will I learn?
