Most of what I know is just from growing up in Minnesota and being interested in things.

In my free time, I do bumble bee surveys for the Minnesota Bumble Bee Atlas, and volunteer with the Minnesota Biological Survey and MN PlantWatch helping with rare plant surveys.

In recent years, I have found and photographed all of Minnesota's existing native orchid species!
