I'm a retired geologist with just a plot of not a lot of land and no background in botany. I volunteer at Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR, Katy Prairie Conservancy, Winedale Historical Complex and other sites with Texas Master Naturalists. Current hobby project is to keep weekly lists of all species of birds, grasses, and wildflowers I see while walking our blue heeler Elsa.
