Many years ago, I majored in biology because it is just such a fascinating subject. Currently, I'm an Associate Professor in the Biology Department at VCU in Richmond, VA.

As I use iNaturalist more and more and have experienced the generosity/help of other observers, I have realized it is not only a magnificent learning platform but a great example of a respectful social platform that has the feel of a friendly and welcoming community.
