I use iNaturalist because I am curious about the species I encounter in Georgia, where I live (and elsewhere when I travel), and would like to grow my ability to read the landscape around me. I am especially interested in plants and fungi, but also in insects and other animals.

I have no professional background in biology or ecology; I am a researcher of sacred vernacular American music and digital humanities. I appreciate and am grateful for identifications, corrections, and discussion.
