From early childhood I've been interested in nature around me, as I spent a lot of time in the countryside. After completing Msc in geography (specialization: cartography), I worked for several years as an editor in a cartography publishing house.

Now, thanks to iNaturalist, I'm back to my early interest in botany, especially mosses and liverworts. It's the secret land of tiny plants, considered to be "primitive" (as they are non-vascular and very ancient) - but believe it or not - they are far from beeing "primitive"! They have surprising adaptations to different environments and interesting reproduction strategies. And yes, they are the oldest plants which colonised the land and survived to our era.

I'm based in Poland. Feel free to discuss my identification.
