Muzi Mashabane is a Senior Technician at the Directorate on Biodiversity Evidence (DBE) (formerly Biological Invasions Directorate) of the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), based at the Lowveld National Botanical Garden. His work focuses on the early detection and eradication of emerging alien plant species in the Mpumalanga Province. Muzi's research interests lie primarily in invasive species ecology, management and risk assessment.
