I'm an environmental educator and writer currently living in Oakland, California. I develop and teach science and nature classes for preschool and school age children, their parents, and their teachers. Writing and travel, both international and in the U.S. are other passions, along with vegetarian cooking, Beethoven, and long walks in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa.
