UC Naturalist!

Curious about the plants and insects of California, especially the central valley and coast. Please help me learn more!!

I currently work for a local tree nonprofit. I'm learning more and more each day about the urban trees of the central/sacramento valley. I'm hoping to increase my knowledge about native trees, especially native oak trees!

I have some experience IDing ladybugs in the Santa Barbara Area. The Common ones are easiest for me to ID and I know what to look for when investigating ladybug species. In college, I IDed Ladybug species & sex for a UCSB Ladybug study. I also spent some time sorting insects caught in pan traps & inputting other insects into databases.

I also have an interest in learning about plants that other people find annoying or consider "weeds". Those are fun! :-)
