I am an arbovirologist by training, dedicated bird nerd (raptors!) by passion, and lover of all things in the natural world. I volunteered at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program for many years, rehabilitating injured birds of prey and working with our disabled educational ambassadors. I know my Colorado raptors inside and out, but am re-learning my New England bird IDs (we didn't have broad wing or red shouldered hawks). I recently took an introductory course on mushroom/fungal identification, so bear with me as I hone my skills in that area. I am highly skilled in mosquito identification, so you'll likely see me post some of that here, too, if I get good specimens. I am located in East Montpelier, Vermont.
